Meggitt's Wilcoxon Research product range was established when Wilcoxon Research was founded as an independent company in
1960. Created by two scientists from the David Taylor Naval Research Center (now the Naval Surface Warfare Center), Wilcoxon
Research was founded on two principles that still hold true today: (1) impeccable customer service and customer satisfaction, and
(2) continuous contribution to the field of vibration instrumentation through research, development and manufacturing of high quality,
innovative products.

Weiss Gallenkamp meet the challenges of Euro 6 Emissions Regulation
In order to limit pollution caused by road vehicles, the Euro 6 standard will come into force on 1 September 2014 for the approval of
vehicles, and from 1 January 2015 for the registration and sale of new types of cars. The Altitude Simulation Chamber is used to test
for exhaust emissions, fuel consumption and engine performance at different altitudes. The precise control of simulated environmental
conditions contributes to exceptionally accurate test results- vital in the testing of emissions to ensure they comply with the Euro 6
regulation.

Safe Vibration Testing with m+p ‘VibControl’ Software.
Vibration testing, when performed correctly is a valuable tool in any test laboratory or production line. The key to successful testing
is in understanding how the whole system is working and one keyelement of this is how the ‘VibControl’ software creates a safer
vibration test environment? We haveall been there as test engineers, ready to push the ‘go’ button; however, there are always the
doubtsin the back of our minds

Simplified Linear Measuring System Uses Displacement Transducers
The ability to measure linear displacement over an extended range means access to new applications and industries for Reading based
sensor company Applied Measurements. With the existing AML-SGD products starting as low as 0 - 5mm and measuring up to 50mm over
four models, the latest introduction measuring 0-100mm is the result of increased demand from customers preferring to use a strain gauge
based measuring system.

NEW Stability & Temperature Test Chamber from Weiss Gallenkamp
Weiss Gallenkamp have recently launched the brand new WK3/0 Stability & Temperature Test Chamber.
Specimens which have to be exposed to a long-term test and/or an accelerated service life test played a primary role throughout the
entire development and construction. During the design and development phase of this chamber great importance was placed on
energy saving climate conditioning systems, maintenance-free temperature conditioning and humidification systems as well as
comprehensive documentation.

How to understand and reduce fan vibration
m+p's SO Analyzer was used to investigate the dynamic response of a fan system which exhibited high levels of vibration as it swept
up to its normal operating speed. The resulting fatigue was significantly compromising reliability and although a number of solutions had
been suggested it was not clear which would offer the most cost effective solution.

PCB Piezotronics, a world leader in vibration, acoustic, pressure, force and torque sensors, has launched a high frequency industrial
accelerometer that operates to 30kHz for gear mesh and bearing fault analysis. The 621B40 works with online or portable monitoring
systems to provide reliable and effective vibration monitoring. It operates to 30kHz even with a magnetic mount - a feat almost unheard of
in the condition monitoring industry - and captures high frequency gear mesh faults that are often missed during routine route-based
measurements.

High Temperature Accelerometer Brochure from Dytran
Dytran Instruments have just introduced their new brochure describing many of their high temperature accelerometers, some of them
being new designs. These are typically used for engine and turbine testing, but there are many other industries where these can be
employed. Some are available with built in high temperature electronics, for use up to 163 degC, but charge type sensors can be used in
much higher temperature environments, and there are now some special crystal designs and differential output devices, that are able to
operate in temperatures up to 482 degC.

LMS International continues to offer the most extensive range of sound source localization techniques.
Two recent additions to the portfolio, the LMS Test.Lab High Definition Acoustic Camera and LMS
Test.Lab 3D Acoustic Camera, separate acoustics cameras for exterior and interior sound source
localization respectively, shed new light onto even the most complex sound source localization issues.
Aimed at exterior studies, the LMS Test.Lab High Definition Acoustic Camera is a circular array of 36
or 54 microphones with a wide-angle camera for identifying sound sources up to 20 kHz. Output
includes a color-coded sound pressure map super-imposed on a full-surface photograph of the test
specimen. This may be a complete vehicle, major subsystem or individual component. Sound fields
can be animated using time and/or frequency data to clearly show acoustic hot spots.
