PCB Launch the Series 339A Low Temperature Coefficient Triaxial ICP® Accelerometers
PCB Automotive Sensors has developed a series of low temperature coefficient, triaxial ICP® accelerometers. PCB® Series 339A Triaxial ICP®
accelerometers are designed with a low temperature coefficient, wide operating temperature range, and good broadband measurement
resolution.
With an operating temperature range from -54 to +163 °C and a temperature coefficient of less than 0.02% / °C these sensors are ideal for
powertrain testing, NVH, road load data acquisition, and durability testing in climatic chambers. Additionally, these sensors have a measurement
range to 10 kHz and a built in low pass filter to alleviate the effects of high frequency overloads caused by metal-to-metal inputs commonly
encountered in powertrain vibration testing.

Load measuring pins customised to suit any mechanical arrangement
A range of load measuring pins is now available from Applied Measurements Ltd, which can be designed and customised to suit almost
any existing mechanical arrangement.
A load pin measures the force applied across it, typically via strain gauges that are installed within a small bore through the centre of the
pin. Load pins are used in a wide variety of applications, including cranes, winches, hoists and other types of lifting equipment. Typically,
the application includes some kind of pulley system or sheave with ropes or wires. The rotating pulley wheel is held in place on a shaft,
which can be replaced by a load pin.

Ixthus launch new modular eddy current sensor

Ixthus Instrumentation Ltd has launched a new high precision, non-contact linear displacement measuring instrument from leading eddy
current sensor technology specialist Kaman Inc.
The KD-2306 can measure both ferrous and non-ferrous metal targets with a measurement resolution as small as 0.05 µm and has the
ability to perform through non-metallic substrates such as glass or plastics. Able to withstand the harshest of environments, eddy current
sensors are cost effective alternatives for LVDTs, air gauges, dial indicators and micrometer measuring systems and with an inherently
long life and extremely low maintenance, are equally aimed at applications in the laboratory, production test or for OEMs.

Reciprocating Machinery Protector for Continuous Vibration Monitoring and Protection of Reciprocating Compressors
The IMI Sensors division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. has announced the release of the Model 649A01 Reciprocating Machinery Protector
(RMP), which utilizes the next generation of impact monitoring technology. This two-wire, loop-powered, 4-20 mA transmitter detects
impacts from mechanical shock events, which typically occur in or near a machine's cylinder assembly. This technology is particularly
effective on reciprocating machinery where these high frequency impacts are often overlooked, or when trending overall vibration levels.
The hermetically sealed design can be easily interfaced with existing alarm, control, and monitoring systems such as PLC's, DCS's, and
SCADA systems.
